Dave Grohl joins Queen of The Stone Age for their newest album

Queen of The Stone Age's frontman, Josh Homme has revealed that Dave Grohl will be playing the drums on their upcoming new album.

Dave Grohl is filling in for Joey Castillo. Homme said that he left the band, at the news this evening (November 6th) on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1. Grohl is close to Queen of The Stone Age. He's also drumming for the band's 2002 album "Songs for the Deaf. This band also post a picture on their Facebook, showing Dave Grohl's name at the mixing table.


While talking at the Zane Lowe's show, Homme said: "Grohl and I have this wonderful musical relationship which we don't have with other people. It's very cool and comfortable position"

At November 5, Queen of The Stone Age revealed that they will be playing at Download Festival for the first time next summer. Download Festival will take place at Donington Park at June 14-16 2013.

Eagles of Death Metal's frontman, Jesse Hughes recently said that Queen of The Stone Age's new album is "badass". Speaking to NME, Josh Homme's Eagles of Death metal bandmate added that the material he's heard from the follow- up to 2007's 'Era Vulgaris' is "really cool". Hughes said; "The shit I've heard from the new Queens album is so badass. It's really cool. It's the kinda shit that makes John Holmes [legendary porn star] have a bigger dick and he's dead, so that's pretty rad."

Currently, Queen of The Stone Age is finishing up their work on what will be their sixth studio album.
